Have you filed your taxes yet? 4 Steps to Get You Started
1. Know the Deadline.
April 30th, 2018 is the deadline to file your 2017 Income Tax Return without penalty. If you have any self-employed income, you have until June 15th, 2018 to file your and your spouse’s return. However, if you have a balance owing your payment is still due by April 30th. After this date non-deductible interest charges will be added.
2. Make an Appointment
Engage yourself in getting it done. The most important step in preparing your taxes is setting an appointment date. We’re all naturally procrastinators and if it weren’t for deadlines we probably wouldn’t get anything done! Setting an appointment date with your tax professional will get the ball rolling. 3. Gather your information

With your permission, most information slips can be downloaded directly from CRA’s website. We may be able to get started even if you’re missing a few items.
